new, new

Amongst the decay!

I felt compelled to do it. Mostly because I officially, or at least as far as I can tell, changed the address on all my accounts from my Hawaii address to my (new) Seattle apartment.

It feels clean to start anew.

Also because my old blog just felt heavy and weighty and I felt like I was writing as a different person then and I don't want to taint it with the person I'm becoming now...

...whatever that means.

In any case, Fall looks like it's reaching an end; all the leaves have fallen and the trees stand bare, gaunt, and grey. It's in a strange way sad and heavy. It really does change your mood all together. I've officially started my Vitamin-D regimen. I'm not too sure if a lack of sun can be solved by popping some vitamins everyday, but it's something I'm willing to try to avoid the spring-time blues I've been hearing about.

I'm surprised at how well I'm acclimating. I honestly thought the weather was going to be the death of me, but even at a balmy 40°F I'm somehow still alive? And not freezing to death? Apart of me wonders how I'd feel if I went back to Hawaii right now. I'm almost positive the humidity would kill me.

Anyway, much to my father's dismay, I haven't been using my DSLR as much as I'd like. Mostly out of fear that the rain would destroy it and all of its loveliness. But also because I lost the lens cap somewhere someplace and have been altogether lazy about getting it replaced. So here are some phone shots of the fall leaves and the current evergreen grey.
